More Than Just A Dental Office

Giving Back To Wilmington

At Thrive Family Dental, we’re dedicated to helping our patients and our community find reasons to smile. However, we realize that high-quality, compassionate dental care may not be within reach to everyone, for a variety of reasons. Dr. Friberg and the rest of the team are proud to stand up and support our patients and fellow residents of Wilmington, Porters Neck, and all surrounding areas.

Striving Toward Dental Health for All

Donated Dental Services

As a member of Dental Lifeline Network's nonprofit program, Donated Dental Services (DDS), Dr. Friberg is one of over 15,000 volunteer doctors and dentists who provide life changing care to those in need, nationwide. Founded in 1974, The Dental Lifeline Network provides access to dental services and education for people with disabilities, the elderly, those who are medically fragile, and those who simply cannot afford care on their own. We firmly believe that everyone should have a chance at a healthy smile, and Dr. Friberg feels rewarded to be able to make a positive difference in the lives of so many deserving people.

The Healing Power Of Animals

paws4people

Dr. Friberg and the team at Thrive Family Dental are committed to making a positive impact on the Wilmington community through our dentistry. That’s why we work with paws4people, a nonprofit foundation that raises, trains, assistance dogs and places them with those in need. From children to veterans, military dependents, and civilians living with disabilities, since its inception in 1999, paws4people has made steps to improve the lives of countless individuals with their expertly trained assistance dogs.

These assistance dogs are versatile, able to aid in physical rehabilitative regiments, as well as providing emotional healing and support. Specially trained, paws4people’s four-legged friends do much to keep their humans moving in a positive direction, helping them to rediscover their independence with a friend by their side.
Over the last two decades, paws4people has successfully placed assistance dogs nationwide to lend a helping paw to those who need it most, and Thrive Family Dental is proud to help the program continue to grow as we educate others about the healing power of canine companionship through our partnership with the foundation.

For our part, we donate a portion of every New Patient Exam, which is used to purchase training equipment for an assistance dog. If you want to find out how you can get involved, or just want to learn more about our partnership with paws4people, call us today at (910) 240-4797 to schedule an appointment or talk with a member of our dental team!
